Privacy Policy
Effective date: November 4, 2026
Vitessa Kitchen (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a free recipe website. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you visit our website (the “Site”), how it is used, and the choices you have. By using the Site you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. Who we are
Vitessa Kitchen publishes home-cooking recipes, kitchen tips and food photography. We do not sell products on this Site, and you never need an account to read our recipes.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
The Site has no sign-up, login or checkout. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message, and we use it only to reply to you.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, when you visit the Site some technical information is collected automatically by our hosting provider and by the tools described in Section 3, such as:
- IP address and approximate location (city or country level)
- Browser type, device type, operating system and screen size
- Pages viewed, time spent, links clicked and the website or ad that referred you
- Date and time of your visit
- Cookie identifiers and similar online identifiers
We do not ask for, and do not intend to collect, private details such as government ID numbers, financial account details or precise geolocation.
3. Cookies & similar technologies
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. Pixels (also called tags) and server-side tools do a similar job. We and our partners may use them for the following purposes:
Meta (Facebook & Instagram). We may use the Meta Pixel and the Meta Conversions API. These tools let Meta collect or receive information from our Site, such as page views and the technical details listed above, and use it to measure ads, provide analytics and deliver ads. Meta processes this information under its own Privacy Policy. You can manage how Meta uses this information in your Ad Preferences.
Third parties may use cookies, web beacons and similar technologies to collect or receive information from this Site and elsewhere on the internet, and use that information to provide measurement services and target ads.
4. How we use information
- To run, maintain and secure the Site
- To understand which recipes and pages people enjoy so we can make more of them
- To measure and improve our advertising
- To reply to messages you send us
- To comply with legal obligations and prevent abuse
5. How information is shared
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only with:
- Service providers that host the Site and provide analytics, who process it on our behalf
- Advertising partners, such as Meta, as described in Section 3
- Authorities when required by law, or to protect our rights, users or the public
- A successor if the Site is ever sold or transferred
Under some US state laws, sharing information with advertising partners for ads based on your activity may count as a “sale” or “sharing”. You can opt out as described below.
6. Your choices
- Browser settings: you can block or delete cookies in your browser at any time. The recipes will still work.
- Meta ads: adjust your settings at facebook.com/adpreferences.
- Interest-based ads: opt out at aboutads.info, networkadvertising.org or, in the EU/UK, youronlinechoices.eu.
- Global Privacy Control: where required by law, we honor a GPC signal from your browser as a request to opt out of sale or sharing.
7. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, including California and other US states, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Canada and Australia, you may have the right to:
- Know what personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it
- Correct or delete your personal information
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising
- Object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
- Complain to your local data protection authority
To use any of these rights, email us at the address below. We will respond within the time required by law and will not deny you service or change how the Site works for you because you used your rights. We may need to verify your request. You can also make a request through an authorized agent.
EU/UK legal bases: we process information based on our legitimate interests in running and improving the Site, on your consent where required (for example, for non-essential cookies), and to comply with the law.
8. Retention & security
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. Emails are deleted when no longer needed. Analytics and advertising data is kept according to each provider’s retention settings. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, including encrypted HTTPS connections, to protect information. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.
9. Children
The Site is meant for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU/UK). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. International visitors
The Site is operated from the United States. Our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, these transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
11. Links to other websites
The Site may link to other websites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, so please read their policies.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. If the changes are significant, we will make that clear on the Site.
